5 young creatives you should definitely be following

A lot of people believe that Instagram is not a useful social media platform, but I think this all depends on who you’re following. I am very wary not to follow accounts that do not have a positive impact on my life in some way. These lovely ladies below have been some of my favourite accounts to follow as they constantly inspire me to push myself creatively and remind me that hard work really does pay off.

Marsai Martin ActressAt only 14 years old she has achieved so much. Her debut role as Diane Johnson in Black-ish propelled her into stardom and earned her several awards and nominations. At age 13 she was the executive producer and star of the film Little, which recently premiered, making her the youngest executive producer in Hollywood. It is incredible what she has been able to achieve at such a young age and she is definitely someone to watch. Not to mention that she is always well dressed and put together. Her stylist has really mastered the age appropriate slay.

Eva Apio model.jpgAn up and coming model with dazzling beauty. At 18 years old she has secured an advert for Links of London, a feature in Harper’s Bazaar and, most recently, a spread in Cosmopolitan magazine. With such an impressive portfolio, I can only imagine what she will accomplish next. Her badass style and beautiful smile are enough to make you fall in love with her and I can’t wait to see her on runways.

Fisayo Longe BloggerI first discovered her through her blog, Mirror Me, and was intrigued. Her Instagram revealed to me that she is the founder and creative director of Kai Collective, an affordable luxury clothing brand. Her clothes have a very vintage feel as she constantly experiments with shape and material. She uses both her personal and brand account on Instagram very well to provide an intriguing feed and is constantly engaging with her audience through her Instagram stories.

JTO Fashion blogger-1.jpgThe woman who inspires me to keep my blog going. I came across her blog just over a year ago and I loved keeping up with her travel adventures and reading her thoughts on fashion. Her style is unmatched, and her editorials never disappoint. She is always finding new ways to explore her creativity and engage with her audience. She is slowly taking the fashion world by storm and I am totally here for it.

Narcography photo.jpgA very talented photographer. The colour grading and tones in her pictures are always amazing. Her ability to beautifully capture people in their natural environments just being themselves as well as editorial shots is stunning. Seeing her work always inspires me to do more and reminds me that consistent hard work always pays off. She has recently been gaining more recognition but she definitely deserves a lot more.
